MINIS COLLECTIONS

Nap-Time Minis

This collection is the result of a new approach to my studio time that is now tailored around being a mum. I have found that I am able to steal an hour or so a day at the easel, whilst Edie sleeps, and use this time to practice painting subjects that I intend to paint on a larger scale on days when I have more time in the studio.

Due to the way these minis are created they feel particularly personal. Each painting represents a mini victory in itself in making it to the easel and finding the focus to create despite disrupted sleep and general baby chaos. For that reason these minis are only available directly from my studio and will be a way of raising funds for children's charities. £10 from each painting sold will be donated to https://www.bliss.org.uk/ in support of premature or sick babies.

Seafood Minis

The “Seafood Minis” began, like “On the Table,” during lockdown, when trips to the fishmonger became a highlight of the week. Sardines, oysters, mussels — everyday treasures transformed into little studies of texture, colour, and light. These minis are joyful reminders of how beauty can be found in the simplest places.

Bumble Minis

The “Bumbles” were the very first paintings that drew attention to my work. Painted during a hot lockdown summer spent in the garden, they were part of the Artist Support Pledge on Instagram and quickly developed a life of their own. These bees hold a special place in my heart — they represent both the beginnings of my career and the joy of capturing nature in motion. Though I paint fewer Bumbles now, I still love creating them, especially when I receive commissions for these small, lively works.
